 Playing with some low key stuff. The tones appeal to me, especially given the type of bird and pose.

PP - converted from RAW, cropped, reduced gamma, dodged edge of bird slightly, burnt back a little, white balance, added border, resized, sharpened.

Marion, see below, is absolutely dead-on. It is very reminiscent of the Dutch masters. The light is fantastic and the low key is perfect for this shot.

the lighting doesnt grab me but that is just a personal feel
would love to see a shot of the whole bird
