 This is Brynja and Júlíus, they are expecting their first child in a couple of months so she asked me to take some maternity photos. She wanted them taken in the Blue Lagoon so we set out to be there around sunset for the soft lighting. I took a bunch of images and this was one of the first, I went up on one of the bridges they have in the lagoon and shot this from above.

I wouldn´t have entered this challenge but asij called me up the week before and challenged me to enter the next member challenge, wich was this one, to see who got the higher score. That was a busy week for me though and I completely forgot about it so this wasn´t shot with this challenge in mind, I actually think the shot looks better in color but then the water would be blue and not gray so obviously I had to desaturate it to make sure it fit the challenge.

This is so artful and unusual. I see so many of the "typical" pregnancy shots, so this is a lovely change.

This is AMAZING! What a brilliant, creative shot. I am so disappointed in these un-artistic voters who didn't give this the score it deserves! But I'm betting your clients absolutely loves it -- and hopefully will pay big bucks for it! For sure it will be treasured long after the ridiculously low 5.7 score is forgotten!

This was by far my favourite in the challenge and it was clearly voted down due to its conversion to b/w. I really wish you had scored higher with this. Great job!

I love this picture, how she seems to sort of melt into the water around her. Maybe if the man was looking up straight at the camera 5

This is such a great shot... I love everything about it. The tones, composition (particularly!), sharpness, softness - the entire set-up. Very tastefully done as well. Not sure what the two black spots on the mans collar bone is but they should have been removed. I guess she could have a been a little more pregnant but timing is everything :) In any case: A perfect 10+
