Nice and simple, and that's what makes it work. I wonder how a tad more contrast would make this look. |

This is awesome! And yes, you should have entered it into the free study and given Irene a run for her money :)
I love the story behind it. It's so amazing to watch the resourcefulness of animals. I really love this photo.

Smart boid. It's a good thing with these side challenges, that you can add a little info that changes the perception of the pic. |

Good timing! There is lots to like in this photo - the ripples and texture of the water, the hint of a reflection, the one ruffled feather. Good work! |

PAW - Nice catch. Is it standing on ice? This would be interesting cropped to the head, drops and ripples if it could still be clear enough. I think for a water drop to win your user name needs to be IreneM. |

Nice story to go with the photo. They are so smart sometimes! Excellent black and white! I like the leading line in the bottom right taking you right to the bird, bread an dripping water. |

Very well done! Fun pose and I love the patterns in the water.
I think the water drop part has to be a macro, though, if you want to get a blue ribbon. I read it somewhere ;-) |

No idea what's in it's beak - but love the composition and processing.

That's excellent. Ilove the ripples from the water drops, and the reflections on the water-glazed sand. |

That intense eye seems to be the focal point in this for me. Nice contrasty shot, and, with drops too! : ) |
