 This was a tough one with so many options. Finally picked a tiny blue flower in the back yard along with some petals of a little orange flower as a complement. Placed them on blue metalic paper. Sigma macro lens, minor Levels, some Contrast, Bright. That's all!

This shot could use a compementary color for the background.

this seems quite soft to me, perhaps a lighting issue. It's hard to get away with soft-focus on the close-up/macros, even if it's intentional. A little contrast would go a long way here i think. great saturation of colours. P

The background texture shows up slightly on this shot, maybe less DOF would have helped.

I might have used a little more light from the front in order to pick up a little more detail right at the mouth of the flower. Still a good shot.
