 Tried many many times to get the result I wanted, not quite there! Used black tape to "cut off" parts of my fingers.

This is one of those photos in which you realize how it's done, but you can't help being drawn to looking at it again and again to see if the missing pieces have returned. A bit stark colorwise for my taste, but I'm sure it made the illusion more realistic. shedonist 8

Interesting view. Good illusion, but (my bias, here) I'm not fond of this degree of photo manipulation (sorry, I'm trying to be flexible!) How about an 8? Swash

I really like the hi-key contrast as it emphasizes the effect. (I'm sure others will be disparaging). Good choice for this illusion, very dramatic! (8) ~mcmurma

Ouch, I bet that hurt! hehe. Great effect. It may be a bit too much contrast on the hand, but I can understand why you did that, I think. karmat

interesting.
the little white hangnail looking tag hanging off the pinky finger is a bit distracting, I'd recommend stamping it out if that were legal. :)
