great idea..like the framing (not the border) and angle of the shot but...greater dof please...oh well, I guess the border is ok but a bit wide for me..good choice of color..nice title

Great idea and well executed. The simplicity is really nice. I like the colors - the mild blues and cool whites. I think the DOF could be a little deeper and could include the top of the toothpaste as well as the lid, to try to pull the idea together that it should be put back on the tube. The border is slightly distracting - I think a slightly darker or pure white would work better, but that's a personal preference.

This could have been a far better photo if the entire shot was in focus, just leaves me wondering...Hmmmm

Too many elements are out of focus in this image.

I like the humor! I don't like the depth of field on this picture- the cap is the only thing in focus. A greater f-stop would help bring more of the elements into focus.

Divorce? What are you trying to convey here? I'd rethink the border.

would've been good if the tube was in focus also

Reminds me of a Marillion song...

what! O!

Excellent focus on the cap which will be the cause of your coming divorce. Think about changing the colour of the borders next time or leave it out completely.

i have no earthly idea what this is supposed to mean

focus should be on toothpaste, not cap. And heck yeah, If my wife left toothpaste all over the sink, there'd be trouble. That's just nasty!

Funny idea. I don't find this photo very aesthetically pleasing, although you put the components together okay. I think I would've preferred a really sharp, deep DOF.

why didn't you take the picture of the man or woman staying over instead of the used tooth paste?
05/19/2004 11:50:46 AM
No focal point. Meaning is obscure. Dull.
05/19/2004 10:26:45 AM
Wowa, I hope the habit is referring to the toothpaste and not divorces!
05/19/2004 07:24:14 AM
good title, but the eye falls on the toothpase/brush which is unsharp instead of the sharp cap.
05/19/2004 03:54:23 AM
Very creative. I think that maybe more focus on the tube and brush instead of the cap may have been better?

Hilarious! The problem is endemic. This is the best dental hygene related photo of the challenge.

Don't care for the border. Great depth of field and solution to challenge. A little more contrast in color on the top of the tube would make it pop more.
