 This is my friend Joe from the band "Gear Down Big Rig"
I did a little bit of HDR/tone mapping just to experiment.
The result was him looking kind of nasty, but i feel the tone mapping really just adds a feeling of intensity to the photo.

i really like the hair motion in this shot as well as the motion of the guitar...very well lit for a dark subject (dark hair, dark shirt, etc)
