It was the title that actually made me open this shot up, I've had endless discussions with various people about the meaning of that song! But I digress.
This is a great shot for the challenge, and no surprise at all that it made top ten. It's got wonderful colours (or lack of) but what makes this shot for me is actually the green area, with what seems to be a white webbing all over it. It's almost as if the green area is "trying" to fit in with the rest of the shot! |

| Love the shallow dof here, and the way the back petals blend in to the whiteness. The fact that the stem is covered with the whites works very nicely for this shot too. I'm not sure about the composition, I think I might have preferred the petals to be a diagonal between the two corners without cutting off the edge of the petals on the left. Wonderful job! |

| Too bad about the creases in the petals along the top of the flower. The image is very pretty and there is so much detail maintained. |

| Nice macro. The stem and cup look fake (I know they're not, but there's something weird about the "fuzz"). The petals are great. Nice dof. |
