I think this reflects me. Definitely self-portrait material - the bird, the snow, the flakes, the wrought iron, all of it together, none of it in pieces...
Crop, resize, sharpen, curves, save for web.
I find it amusing that another bird image came in 9th and he has not one comment stating they don't get the relevance to the challenge. At any rate, the space is supposed to be there, mottled and unseeable, as we all have an unconscious mind. The snow is supposed to be there, touching the bird, and I have 6 other shots without it to prove it. I assumed since this was a self-portrait without people, that people wouldn't be so literal. My mistake.
Honestly, this scored higher than I thought it would. And the comments, regardless of the DNMC aspect, were very complimentary. Thank you!

I don't get how this represents yourself .... alone on a perch? Anyway its not a bad shot but could be cropped to cut out the dark area to the right, getting closer on the bird. The snowflake which appears to be landing on the back of the birds head is unfortunate, it detracts from the photo IMO. Pleasant shot though.
Struggling to see how this one meets the challenge. I see no connection, in the photo or in the Title of it, to make me think this has anything to do with a person or a self portrait
