I love the comments, thanks so much. tvsometime I promise you I'm not a “flighty, transparent person with garishly colorful ideas”....(at least I don't think so ;-) It's because I do these images by hand and it takes many hours work to get them, so the image and title describe me to a "T". Yes, I'm an extremely stubborn, pig-headed, determined, patient person ;-)
The image was at 8.3 after ten votes then took a horrendous dive to 5.7. It's great that it ended on a 6+ score because I love it to bits.

I've been looking at some Martin Waugh (SP?) shots, Irene, and I think he'd be proud to call this one of his. It is truly spectacular. In fact, I like it more than any I saw on his website. I watched him working on a water drop collaboration on a Discovery Channel show, amazing. I'm thinking I have to try for myself. I think you're the master of water drops, for sure. Very inspiring.

If this isnt a self portrait of IreneM I dont know what is. The water drop has become synonymous with you. Congrats on another stunning image, and a fine result.

Very attractive image Irene. Colors are fantastic and you hit the nail on the head with the self portrait. It is not as tack sharp as some of your other images, but still more than good enough.

You're patient and you persevere in order to get a nice shot. But considering the shot itself, and not the act of taking it... to me this says you're what everybody expects, you're perfect, you're a type-A personality. Because unfortunately the commonality of this type of shot here at DPC has colored my perspective.

When I think about it more than just on first glance, though, my thoughts are different and deeper. It's a very lovely shot. The colors make me think happy and warm things about the self behind the photo and I feel that the self is vibrant and fun, ready to experiment or to take on the day.

Better than most splash photos but the image doesn't reflect the title and I can't relate this to a "self portrait" unless you are a flighty transparent person with garishly colorful ideas. Well maybe this says more about you than you (or I) know.

I guess the patience an perseverance is in learning how to do drop shots. This shot should do well even if most don't see any relation.

water drops really have to be exceptional to get a good score because of the overwhelming amount of them we see around here. The colors used really make this one stand out, well done.
