Nicely done. Would like to see a bit more DOF so the medals and ribbons (sorry, I don't know the proper term for them) are also in focus. I am guessing at who took the photo, could it be toddhead?

Coming back for another guess, could it be sempermarine?

I guess this is sempermarine's entry.
I think a few highlights especially on the Bear are too hot. Also it seems a bit oversharpened as there are jagged edges in some of the finer details and more noticeable along the red line down the coat. A very good idea though as I am sure these two things define who you are. 6

Lighting seems to be off, especially on the bear and it doesn't seem too sharp to me.

I like this, I think the exposure works well against the darkness of the uniform. I think you captured personality in this, something that I can't say for a lot of the other entries. I love the duality of the occupation vs. the family ties. Good job.
