Thank you very much for this comment. Puts a smile on my face!

Thank you all for your comments. I was hoping for a PB of 6.13 or better but I'm happy with 5.75. The light coming in the top right was supposed to represent the stagelights. |

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments not. Wow, what great detail and DOF on this shot of the guitar!!! I love how you composed it such that the neck acts like a leading line that runs off to the vanishing point to the horizon. Very much like a pathway for the eye to travel upon. But that same pathway needs a little something to add extra zing to this photo.....Hmmmm. Hey! You know what would be really cool?!?! If you could get this same wonderful set-up and have it on a stage such that the neck of the guitar leads off to the seats in a theatre with what appears to be stage spotlights shining on the guitar in both upper corners of the composition. Lights, music, PLAY! It would have a look and feel of getting ready to put on a music show with just the guitar and the backdrop setting (pardon the pun) the stage for projecting that idea to the audience. If you have any way of accomplishing this I highly recommend doing it. It might mean going out of your comfort zone and asking someone you know connected to the theater to use it or asking a complete stranger for use of their facilities with the promise to credit the place in the commentary as a form of advertisement. The worst they could say is no. But if they say yes, and all elements come together this great above average shot could be catapulted to the exceptional category of 9 or 10 just by applying some star power (and yes that is a guitar hero reference;-) ) |

The guitar feels cramped in the frame. I think perhaps a tighter crop could have benefited this. |

Nice even lighting, and the background works. My nitpick would be the missing speed-knob (the chrome really looks out of place), I might have cropped the red tab on the input jack, and might have even used a larger aperture to put the tuners oof. |

Good idea, however I think that placing the guitar in a diagonal would have made a better composition leading the eye through all the picture. |

Very nice viewpoint. Very large DOF for being this close. Very sharp throughout, and good background, though we can see some lighting on the upper left. And no trace of camera reflected in the paint or chrome. |
