I think this would work better if the dog were in focus instead of the grass, but perhaps that's what you like about it? Personal preference. |

Darn... the dog not being in focus makes it seem that this is an accident. If he weren't there (or if he were in focus) it would be better, I think.

Nice colours, though I wish the focus were on the dog, not on the grass. |

Good shot. The focus on the grass is nice along with the color. |

Your camera has focused on the wrong place unless you were trying to photograph the grass. If your camera has selectable focus points or even fixed focus points, you should try to focus on the dogs eye closest to you. You can also try selecting a smaller aperture setting to create a better depth of field. |

Don't assume that because you have an affinity for your subject, the rest of the world will too. Otherwise, a good workmanlike photo. |

Interesting, I wish the dogs face was as sharp of the grass, but its a nice composition. |

Interpretation of Topic: Nice Choice.
Photography: Nice color contrast, I would like to see the dog sharper.
Viewers Reaction: So cute, love the sharpness of each blade of grass. |

This image feels a bit strange to me with the dog being out of focus. Almost reminds me of those shots from the movie The Sandlot where the dog was oversized and composited into the film. |

the focus on the dog is off, the dog needs to be in focus , & the surroundings can be out of focus |

I can see what you have tried to do but for me, I don't think it works - I think a more conventional choice of focus would have been better. |

I really like the idea of this picture. The grass is a nice frame to the dog. However, I would have rather have seen the dog in focus instead of the grass in front of him. The grass would have been blurry creating a nice soft frame and really highlighting the dog. |

Unfortunately, the grass is focused, and the pup isn't. I think this would have been much more impactful if the pup was clear & sharp, and the grass was soft. |
