I like how symmetrical this is, at least for the wings, the colors really pop with selective desat.

Beautiful butterfly! Great design & color. Wish it was a bit sharper/detailed and the color popped a little more - Still nice though.

Oh! Fabulous. Truly. I really like the out of balance background throwing the viewer out of balance and then the subject popping the viewer back to center. Well done. I hope this does well for you.

Great idea using the selective desaturation to enhance the symmetrical pattern in the butterflie's wings.

I think this works and I'm not a huge fan of selective desaturation. I wish the beautiful butterfly were a tad more sharp. :~)

interesting selective desat, the vines in the background are a distraction. If you could make this a little cleaner , there is a nice Japanese feel to this shot., 6

Beautiful shot!

It is just such symmetry and design in nature that reveals a glimpse of the Creator...

beautiful moth / butterfly - love the red / black / white on the wings, and the detail on the body. Nice selective desat on the rest of the shot.

I like this, and normally I don't care for selective desat. I like that he's not ubercrisp - the softness really adds to him, I think.

Beautifully done; partial desat works well and the various shapes in the composition are nice. Only wish that lower left shadow was not there; it kinda' spoils the symmetry for me.

selective desat works quite well , but the b&w should have better contrast.

I'm not usually impressed with selected de-sat images but this one is a stand out to me. I love that little butterfly. I've never seen one just like it. If I had to name it, Geisha would certainly do it. Beautiful.
