A decent street photo scene. I would prefer it with the top part cropped out though. |

This really seems to tell a story, it's a great shot, I love all the different light sources. |

Nice moody shot. I like the single lonely window shopper all alone it seems on the desolate streets at night, illuminated by the storefront lighting. The lantern and the decorative streetlights add a nice touch too as does the pov. 7 |

Interesting angle and lighting, I love how it has a really deserted feeling to it. |

i would crop out the top of the building, its too dark and without details. |

The exposure is perfect for this shot, and just about everything about it. I get the sense of quiet, due to nobody else being around. Shadow detail and B&W conversion are excellent. |

For some reason this is a very emotional image to me. I don't know why, but I am sitting here holding back the tears. Maybe it is the sadness expressed in her posture. Anyway, thank you for sharing this one... |

A very well considered composition, with a monotone conversion that compliments the scene. |

In truth I used to have a greater appeal for B&W photos but this one is one of the few IMO that is standing out from the crowd. to me anyway this has almost a classic film noir (sp?) look to it which makes it that much better. well done! |

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. There is some image grain but coupled with the setting of a quaint European street & the B&W this captures an old world feel of a moment in time that has passed. The lights and the single woman outside the shop with her shopping bag standing near the brick paved street create a strong air/mood of a comfortable night for taking a stroll, do a little window shopping, and perhaps buying items needed for a late night dinner. Now I do have a critique (I know, why does she have to be so darn picky right;-) ). The tones appear a bit flat (at least on my monitor they do ...and not everyone's monitor is the same which causes headaches even for me). I think a boost in the black and white tones by playing around with levels or brightness/contrast can really make them more dynamic such that they visually pop more. |

The power lines attempt to bring the eye down through the image, but they just don't seem to have the strength to do so. My eye gets lost along the top half of this image. |

I love this! I haven't had a turron in ages, but that woman down there could be me, walking home, looking in at the confitery store. I like this! |

Absolutely outstanding, beautifully rendered. This one came up right next to "Lost in Time" in my voting queue, and what a pair of bookends they made.
It's just a personal reaction, but for me there's a palpable, even aching sense of loneliness emanating from this image. Bumping on second pass, and good luck. |

Intriguing nite shot. I like the perspective, as though I'm peeking out the window when I'm supposed to be in bed. |

This is a terrific image ... one I fear that will be under-rated in the voting. The person in front of the window makes the image. Well done. |

The string of lights draw your attention away from the shop. Cropping them out would strengthen the composition. |
