rather good D.O.F, I would have liked to have seen the brown center a bit more clearly, as well. Good placement of the subject, contrast and colors are great! :) I like it. 7

IMO, the use of negative space is effective here, but could have been more effective in a full square crop. Why? because the nature of the flower is round, so providing a frame for what 'could' have been there emphasizes what is missing even more. Again that's IMO. And this crop is not uneffective at all.

Very nice. I like the softness of the shot yet the sharpness of everything in focus. Only thing is that my eye wants to focus on the bottom left parts of the flower and at the same time it is pulled towards the center of the flower which isn't quite in focus. It makes it a little distracting.

Voted earlier now coming back to leave comments. Love all the sharp details seen in this wind kissed dandelion. Great macro shot. I can clearly see and 'feel' the downy softness of this plants white soft spokes. The black backdrop really allow the white hues of the dandelion to step up and take center stage for it visually pops off the page.
