I love this, the black and white works really well and I love the motion blur of the wings when they're flying.

Nice shot. Love it that you caught a couple of them still coming in to land.

Birds are interesting and motion is nice.

Good catch of all of those birds, with one or two coming in for a landing. A faster shutter speed catching frozen wings "may" have been nice. I see some layering in the clouds. Maybe you reduced the quality of the jpg too much.

Could be a still from Hitchcock's movie, "The Birds."

Interesting take of so many models. I would like to see this in color.

A neat capture. Makes me think a little bit about the book 'The Birds' though. :P

Crop is a little cramped. Whites are lost.

That's a lot of birds, a pretty cool silhouette. There are some weird banding issues in the sky though.

I like the bird flying in from the right and the one fluttering close to center. I'm not sure I care for the photo overall though. I think if you had cropped the darkest part of the tree/bush on the left I would have scored it higher

Seems over processed, halos around some of the birds

like the ones caught in flight, interesting

The two coming in for a landing add interest to this shot. I especially like the one with its tail spread out.

They almost look like fruit! I like the silhouettes but feel the crop is too tight.

interesting silhoutte, but a little too messy in overall composition. the pair of birds coming in to land adds to the image though,

The birds blend in to the tree branches very well.

this shot needs more clarity...the birds are like little brown blobs on the branches

I like the variety of action in these birds.

the crop is too tight, making the shot too busy.

Not enough focus.

03/11/2009 06:29:06 AM
This is a good subject with plenty of potential. I think that the crop is perhaps too narrow and looses some effect as a result. Good luck. 5.

love how the little guy on the right is just coming in for a landing
  Photographer found comment helpful.
03/11/2009 05:27:12 AM
good subject, but has some technical flaws: banding in the sky and halos from sharpening. the aspect ratio is disharmonic; might have helped to crop off the tree at left and add contrast.
