I revisited this after your gripe thread comment. I gave this an 8, placing your shot within my top 100. I also agree that it is better thsn the other two variants on this image. But photography is subjective. There will always be people that vote higher on dog shots, those that vote on landscapes, those that vote higher on bugs. |

After seeing your comments in the gripe thread I came here to look at it. This was among the 75% I never got to, but I probably would not have rated it as highly as the others because for a splash shot I can barely see a splash. Yes, the blueberry is incredibly detailed, but the milk shows very little detail. People like the crown effect of splash shots. A technical question; is this a double blueberry drop? It appears the hole in the milk is ahead of the blueberry as if there was another blueberry an inch ahead. |

You were seriously robbed Oliver, I agree. The originality police got you on this one, but your shot is far superior to the other blueberry splash shots on DOC. The focus on the blueberry is just magnificent. |

Amazing clarity, although I'd like to see a little more visually appealing "splash". I've never tried these shots, but technically you've got it down pat! Very nice work. |

The textures on this are fabulous. The detail on the blueberry and the tiny droplets and their shadows are great. A teensy bit more sheen on the berry would have made this a 10 for me. Top 100. |

Wonderful colors and GREAT details in this well timed capture! Love that we can see some details on the blueberry - some interesting patterns and variations of colors on the surface. Great timing on capturing is as it makes a splash in the milk - most definitely requires a great amount of patience so hats off to you on that factor. I also love the colors - the pristine white of the milk really showcases the blue of this small fruit. |

Heh - if this is Jacko's, it's perfect for this challenge! (And the fact that a blueberry splashed in milk makes me immediately think of Jacko means I've been at DPC way too long.) |

Interesting....the texture of the berry just doesn't look real or appetizing. It looks like painted wood. That all being said, you've still captured a great water shot here. Bravo! |
