Back for bump and comment. Your subject is tiny and yet absolutely the focal point of the photo. To me this is all about contrast: big and small, light and dark, yellow and blue, hard and soft (mountains/sand). |

Very dramatic landscape and the lone walker gives a sense of the immense size of those sand dunes. I like the detail of the footprints in the sand too. |

Interpretation of Topic: Very interesting!
Photography: I would have liked the Trekers to be a bit clearer, but neat contrasts.
Viewers Reaction: Awesome! |

The main thing this has going for it in my opinion is the sense of scale but you've minimized that to some extent by going with a squarish composition. Perhaps that was just a compromise of having to deal with the limits DPC sets on dimensions but ideally I rather see this much wider or possibly taller to really get that sense of scale and pull me into the scene. |

what a perfect shadow to have the man walking out on and he's illuminated, perfect, also like the contrast of the dunes on the background, the man in the image allows the viewer to know how big these dunes really are, he puts this image in perspective |

Spectacular place. The only thing that bothers me is the tourist looking back holding his/her purse. Give them a walking stick so we can feel that we have discovered this person on their long Dune Trek and not "hey go stand over there and I will take a picture of you." IMO |

One of my favorites. There seem to be quite a few yellow/gold/blue images in this challenge, using the colors in ways I've never seen before. I love almost all of them, but this is one of my favorites because the subject is so well done as well. Bumping to a 9. |

i think this would work better for me, if i could see more of the mountains in the background or none of them at all. as it is now, they are more of a distraction. I like the foot print trail and the little green poking from behind the dune |

This is great. A really interesting shot. The only thing I find lacking in this photo is the fact that the subject is stopped and looking at the camera, as opposed to 'trekking' through the dunes. Because of that, this comes off as more of a really, really beautiful snapshot than an artistic piece that is trying to make a statement. |
