The crop here is rather tight and I don't think it give a chance for the subject to express any of his personality through his surroundings and interacting with them.

From the thumbnail, it looks like he has a black eye, kinda. Good close up detail, lighting is a bit harsh

Such power, such patiecnce but also looks to me a little soft side. Love the tounge barely sticking out. Great focus and like the crop. Nice and tight.

Larf. Hidden gems anyone? I didn't even see the tongue for a moment because I'm getting bad net lag right now and the bottom half didn't load for a couple of seconds. I had already started picking apart the apparent softness (probably the result of a strong crop?).

Almost smacks of the dualism of the Mona Lisa. heheh.

These kind of shots are ten a penny on DPC, however it seems to lack the impact of some of those other shots. Maybe becuase he isnt making eye contact with the viewer?
