Challenge: Remember Those? (Basic Editing)
Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3
Location: New York City
Date: Mar 14, 2009
Aperture: f/2.0
ISO: 80
Shutter: 1/5
Galleries: Interior, Black and White
Date Uploaded: Mar 17, 2009

Remember when if you wanted to call someone and you were out in public you had to find a dime and go sit in a phone booth while you talked to them? Then it became a quarter, and then a dollar, and then a bunch of dollars, and then cell phones came along, and it became a quarter again.

Shot this over the weekend when I was in NYC for work. This is in the basement of the NY Public Library. Handheld with my P+S Lumix at 1/5 second. Some big heavy USM (something like 167/17.6/0 if memory serves) to make it look all grungy and old. Would have loved to have some old codger sitting in the booth making a call, but the only one around was behind the camera. :-P

Looks like a drawing, which is nice, but if it looked more like a photograph it would have scored higher for me.

Very nice photo with great detail, might be an optical illusion but doesn't seem to look quite straight... 9

Like the subject. Don't see how the wall behind and above the phones adds to the story and would have liked more detail on the phones themselves.
