Interesting idea to do a rainbow in black and white. Amazingly it works. |

wish I'd seen this in color...the impact would have been much greater...with the bright sunlight on the trees and the depth of color in the sky.... |

Strange choice- a rainbow in black and white, but interesting. Not really sure how much it fits the challenge... |

Black&White was definitely the right choice. The title's great, and it really contributes a lot to the picture. It's the first 10 i'm giving in this challenge! |

Great picture but a stretch to meet the challenge. |

The unfortunate results of either a very low res camera (<2MPx) or incorrect downsampling techniques, but the sky moire and the excessive sharpening in the trees keeps this from scoring high at all on the technical side. And given the fact that these technical faults pull the rainbow out of the shot completely, I'm at a loss to rank it conceptually, either. A regretable 1. |

A rainbow in black and white just seems wrong. |

Cool photo. Hobby, passion maybe...habit no. The jagged phone line in the top left corner should have been cropped out. I'm feeling like the sky and the trees in the background are a bit too dark but I do like the contrast of the white beech tree against the darker trees and the sky. |

Lost a little bit for the wire in the upper left corner, but I really like the overall mood of this image. The black and white is an interesting medium for expressing a rainbow. |

good composition, DoF, but some subjects suffer when converted to black and white and a rainbow probably falls in that catergory |

nice pic but why B&W? if ever there were a subject appropriate for color it is a rainbow, or did you just add in the rainbow with photoshop? |

Without the title I wouldn't associate this with a habit. I love the photo though, not many people would be brave enough to use b&w for a rainbow shot... good job. |

Would not have thought a rainbow in B&W would be that nice. You nailed it. |

Why B&W :( would have given a 9 or 10, but you still got an 8 for getting a great shot of a rainbow. |

avoid broken lines when resizing your pictures, by using a better resizing filter ! |

Wow....I can relate to this picture. At first I was going to lecture you on your choice of using B&W here, but then I got it...or at least I think I did. LOL For me, it means that the rainbow that you seek, is more or less unattainable, therefore, it may as well BE in black and white for all the good it does. Am I close? Anyway, you get a 9 for making me think so hard! :) |
