 DPCO4 - week 6 - team globetrotters

550ex with red gel - fired onto white background. snooted 430ex fired down on the front of the book.

bit of levels to deepen black, bit of hue saturation to brighten reds, and desat yellows.

canvas size to add top border - bottom was already black...

thats it.

Great Idea!!! just from a technical point of view, the light on the left is a bit overpowered because there is a bright white circle on the left in the read background, and there is a dark area in the red background on the right. still great shot!

Hi again, i'm now on different monitor and I can see the gradient effect you were going for (I have serious monitor issues)

I bumped you up to a 10 =P You deserve it!!!

Voted earlier, just coming back to comment. I like that it contains a book, but in a different way than others I've seen. I also like that you are using it to promote another language idea.

Written language, a wonderful form of expression. I wish that literacy were universal, though I suppose your title refers to the concept of love. Great lighting/colors in this.

Have seen this done before, and the effect here, while good, is not outstanding. The red is a nice touch for this, but the uneveness doesn't help. Also not sure this book is the best. I would like to see the cover cropped out, and a book where the pages sit a bit flatter to make the effect work better
