thanks all for your comments!
I had this idea for a while before the pictures were due, but got caught up in work and had no time to reshoot! This was more of an initial test shot rather than one that gave me time to REFOCUS and recompose (I also planned to angle the brush a slight bit more toward the viewer).
Thanks for your comments however! Theres always the next one! |

composition is not bad, maybe a squirl of toothpaste on the brush?
I don't like the bright light on the brush. good idea for the challenge though.. |

Nice lighting but I don't care so much for the soft focus. Still good score from me! |

Exposure and focus are problems here. I know your trying to get the gleaming white thing going and it does work to some extent on the bristles, but the handle of the brush is burnt out too which spoils the bristle effect. 4 |

Great colour and lighting, but IMO wish it was more in focus...well done |

Original idea and a good habit. Nice colors although a bit hot in places. Could be sharper. |

Great colors, nice pic. I think you have just a little too much light directly on the brush. The detail in the bristle area seem to disappear. I like that effect I beleive that you was going for (that little twinkle thing we see on peoples teeth in TV commercials) in the area top left of the brush. It just seems a little bright to me. |

Nice concept and great lighting. The lack of focus draws too much of the emotion out of the shot for me, though. (did I REALLY just use the word "emotion" to describe a shot of a toothbrush?!?!?!) |

good idea, but it seems out of focus to me. |

Did you really need to tell us it's unedited...? |

Okay, if it's unedited how did you get that light? If you don't want to share fine but I would like to know. |

Now why would you not focus on the bristles? Would have been an excellent shot. |

part of the brush is overexposed and the other part has a shadow... and neither is in focus..or at least from what i can tell |

A bit too bright, would like more contrast in center of brush. Good background and composition |
