After racking my brain for an idea for this challenge, I came up with the idea of pinning some sheets of paper together. Not very original, I know ;-) I ended up cutting three small strips of paper and curving them by pulling the blade of a pair of scissors over each one (hope you know what I’m talking about). One of the strips curved too much so I put it to the front and pinned the strips together with the pin. I like the look of it, especially the colors and left it at that. I took loads of pictures at every angle under the sun. This was the one I liked the best.
steefmcbeef commented that it looked like a dolphin. I hadn’t noticed that at all before but when I checked, I saw the dolphin straight away. After that I could see nothing BUT the dolphin every time I looked at it ;-)

Thanks again, this has been a very good week for me and I’m over the moon about it.

Thanks, Harvey. However, I have no experience in graphic design, I do it the way I feel it.

You know what I am going to say.Its as gorgeous as all ways.You must have had graphic design.You are only the right side.That is smething I do.You are very good designer and I love to see your work.Your always in the same place.Great as always plus you know what your doing in all the table top photograph. that's funny ... when i read the bit about the dolphin, now i'm like you i cant see anything else .. !!!
its taking too long to correct any mistaqkes ,..i've made quite a few that i've fixd up .. my finges are cold and i[;ll prob make more typos .. i dont ahave time to coirrect them .. !!
or the inflination .. !!
BUT .. CONGRATS irene on anothewr biklliant and wonderfully cfeativer image .. you really hae such an amzing imagination ..
and i love your close up view of the world .. which i['ve told yo before .

When I have to rack my brain to come up with an idea, I usually end up the week with a bunch of way below par tries and photos that turn out cheesy and unsubmittable. You are the bomb, Irene! Congratulations once again :)

Congrats Irene! Your are on fire! By the way I think you might be also getting another ribbon in the 'Not Quite Right' contest :) My wife and I have a hunch which one is yours :) Congrats again! Wicked reflection and wicked setup up! Do you ever struggle with the light setup? The shadows? People say that's easy ... ya right try that exact light setup! Keep them coming!

Irene , big congrats. Did not vote this challenge , but I did see this shot and my first thought was Irenem then I looked more and thought the lighting was just a tad harsh for an Irenem shot. Hey no worries , still did great , congrats again!!

Technically a stick pin, but who cares...Simple and elegant - this should be a solid contender for a ribbon. One minor issue is the small white light bloom on the pin head, but that is so picky, it's ridiculous. Well done.

This has a commercial approach. Great focus and composition. I like it. I call that a pin, but who is going to quibble over semantics. Nicely done.
