On the fence with the selective desat. I almost would like to see
a) the full color version
b) a version where all the blossoms are in color
for comparison.
There are some areas (especially in the trees) that appear quite dark however I don't think we need to see the detail there since the focus is on the blossoms. I like the contrast you attained in the black and white conversion.
Title kinda bugs me but who am I to say. Its your image after all and you can name it whatever you want. :) |

Fool's gold is the reference, yes? Very good work on the post processing and a wonderfully composed photograph. Given my personal bias, I would much prefer this in pure B&W but I appreciate what you've chosen to do as well. |

Fantastic clarity! Great picture. I would like it even more without the gimmick. For me, it's an 8 with the yellow flower and a 9/10 without... |

Much better (8) without the selective coloring. |

Very very beautiful. The black and white is nice here, and the sky is amazing. |

The grayscale image with colored elements is fast becoming a meme in these challenges and it doesn't always work. The repetition of this type of image is fast becoming passe'. Having said that, this is very different and unigue - a solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. Well done. |

Not a huge fan of selective saturation. I think I'd like the entire image in BW. Beautiful wide angle focus. |
