Inversnaid
This darksome burn, horseback brown,
His rollrock highroad roaring down,
In coop and in comb the fleece of his foam
Flutes and low to the lake falls home.
A windpuff-bonnet of fawn-froth
Turns and twindles over the broth
Of a pool so pitchblack, fell-frowning,
It rounds and rounds Despair to drowning.
Degged with dew, dappled with dew
Are the groins of the braes that the brook treads through,
Degged with dew, dappled with dew
Are the groins of the braes that the brook treads through,
Wiry heathpacks, flitches of fern,
And the beadbonny ash that sits over the burn.
What would the world be, once bereft
Of wet and of wildness? Let them be left,
O let them be left, wildness and wet;
Long live the weeds and the wilderness yet.

This should have ended much higher in ranks. Far more beautiful and serene than the Yellow Ribbon. You'll get my special reward.

O let them be left for the gleaners of light. |

Beautifully presented, beautifully photographed, and one of my favourite poems - I hoped this would finish in the top 5. |

I like the image, I like the phrase, I like the overall concept and message you are trying to portray, but don't find it really to be that motivational. A little extyra room around the sides and top of this image, just to clearly define that nothing is cropped off, would have helped this slightly as well. it feels a little contrained by the current crop |

one of my favorites this challenge ... like the angle of the photo and the tones... tough to get all the words on and still make it readable |

Ok as I'm a poet myself and a lover of nature I can truly rely to your poster. Nice touch of dew and I like the soft toning. |

The message is a bit complex for a motivational poster but... such a great poem! And of course the perfect image to go along, with a strong composition and great tones. |

Poetic, delicate, and subtle. What were you thinking submitting this, such behavior is punished by a mediocre score. What is that I see reflected in that droplet? Is that you Robert? |
