Love snails, me! These guys are great. Compostion is a little too centred though, but they're in great formation. :)
Here's one of mine:

So close to knocking your off center shot off as far as score goes lol Oh well. Great effort though. You know if you use snails every week you will have a fantastic average score. They seem to be great models and totally bring your average up :)
Good work :) |

Maybe I had the idea in my head from hearing stories about it all week, but this reminds me of the landing craft approaching the Normandy beaches on D-Day. |

Whoa, cool photo! Great detail and color pallete. DOF is nice and I like the way the camera angle looks slightly skewed .... 8 |

Very good, my only criticism is the front snails antennae and shell covering the rear heads a little.
I haven't penalised the shot for this, I love it. |

Awesome shot = ) Slight color variation in the background, but nothing too serious. -9- |

This is great! Must not be easy trying to coordinate snails so I do give you extra brownie points for getting two out of three sort-of facing the same way. I also really like the lighting and how it shows details of the shell and the surface of the snail. Focus is amazing as I can even see the small beady eyes of the foreground snail. I would rather see more space in front of the snails in this type of composition than equal on both sides as they appear to be moving from left to right. I won't deduct this time because I like this photo. 9 |

How did you get them to hold still long enough to take the picture? |

It's hard to get a large DOF being this close (macro) to a subject, even with a very fast lens.. I'll assume this is the effect you were after, but I keep wanting to see detail on the other snails. 6 |

Pretty snails. I would like it better with more dof. The first snail is sooo nicely done. |

Excellent image. I love the DoF on this one with each snail sllightly furhter away and the white background is super. There is something nice and simple about this shot. |
