 I've always liked what people do with those texture overlays so I thought I'd try and create one without the extra layer.

Shot in RAW.

Long exposure (20 secs) with about 8 seconds focused on the flower (with a light shining on it), then I put some plastic wrap in front of the flowers for about 10 seconds.

Messed with the color and contrast and WB in silkypix. In Photoshop, used a layer of Topaz Adjust (Beauty detailed preset) to enhance the details and lines (oh the background is a green colorwashed wall). Brightness, contrast, HSL, resize, sharpen, add border.

Michelle, I really like the texture in this shot and I think it should have done better. I love that you achieved this effect outside of photoshop and you pulled it off spectacularly. Good on you for being so creative and thinking outside the box.

Quite and achievement to do an overlay in a capture. I don't think I'd have the patience or expertise to try this. I like it a lot. The colors and texture are really nice.
