 These are hydrangeas. I edited some of the color in SilkyPix (RAW) and then used Photoshop to finish. This does not have a hard and strong literal interpretation of a pattern. I chose this because of the aquatic color and the natural pattern. I do not have high expectations for the scoring but I will enjoy looking at it!

Slightly unusually take on the challenge which actually works very nicely. Love the colouring that you have achieved which really does give the shot the aquatic feel of the title

Very rich color, excellent light, and to me quite obviously patterned throughout the shot. Those that commented were rather fond of it as well. Perhaps too "quiet" (don't you hate that?) for DPC but well suited to the challenge and a gorgeous shot.

These are beautiful and relaxing colors. A warm breeze on a chilly spring day. Nature at it's finest. As far as the pattern goes, it's natures chaos, the loveliest of all patterns.

A wonderful cool colour shot. The pattern is right there in front of your eye. I am stunned that this got the score it did. I gave this a 9, the colour is so cool and rich, the greens bleeding into the blues is perfect. You hit this challenge on the head! I think you did amazingly well.

I felt like I really had to stretch the idea of a "pattern" to it's extreme. I guess art is supposed to make you stretch, but sometimes forcing the viewer to think that hard is going to frustrate them. As a picture, not in a challenge, I do like this.
