a solid color (even plain black or white) with better lighting would clean this up. Neat concept.. focus could be a bit better, too. .. but emotive and interesting. |

be sure to take this same picture in a decade, than a decade after that. one of these days the little hand will be the one holding the camera. |

The missus says this looks like an Athena poster, dunno if that's a good thing! I like it a lot. |

I love the tenderness of this shot. I think a tad more light would have help to bring out some more of the details, otherwise, i love it! karmat |

Nice shot, I took one like this with my daughter last week. The background is a bit too burned out and the focus could be a little sharper but I really like the shot. Good job. DPz |

As they wipe the tears from their eyes to vote ...... they are torn. Do I vote for the sentiment or the quality. For some the sentiment wins and they score it an 8, for the others who don't like the shadow in the bottom corner and too bright of light right above the shadow at the finger or the texture of the paper towels they give it a 6 or seven. 7 if the sentiment slips in. PTL (a sentimental fool) |

challenge -- met technical -- i would like to se more tonal range in the hands, the only really bright spot in this photo is the background and there it's slightly distracting. i do like your choice of b&w very much, and that the hands are of slightly different tones. composition -- hand positions are great, not too sure about background, but can't quite put my finger on (no pun intended) what i would try differently. -- gr8photos |

Cute! I like the tenderness of this picture. I don't know why, but I always like this kind of pictures in B&W. Good luck! |

now thats overdoing the cute factor and hitting below the belt... heh I must lower the score and bring balance to the voting! hehe just kidding... good use of black and white.. the babies hand just needs a little more focus |

i like the softness and exposure on the hands, but a little too glaring or uneven background. the hands are perfect. |

Focus is off a little on the hands, from what I can tell. Good lighting and composition. |

The concept is very good, Just the background doesn't support the whole image as it should, especially the the big dark curve on the right, very distracting. |

I really like this picture. I wish it was just a little bit brighter. |
