a hard challenge for sure. as for the theme of the picture, it is a bunch of dead flowers sitting in front of a tombstone. i should've chosen a shot that had the tombstone a bit more in focus but, hindsight is b*tch...lol
not sure how much higher it would've placed even if so anyway.

There have been many pictures of dead flowers -- but it looks like it might be a tombstone behind them? If so, I like the idea, but it may have been more interesting with a tad more dof--I don't think it needs to be very sharp, but I think you lose a little of the idea with it being that soft...

Is that a gravestone in the background? I wish I could see it better. Otherwise, nice, emotional shot.

Without the title, and studying the writing for a long while, I never would have known what this was about and the writing detracted from the image.

I still think it detracts... Perhaps a bit more DOF would make them a little more readable and make them part of the image instead of something 'in the way'? (not voting)
