not really any composition here, I think a little more time spent on that along with some more processing (there are green and blue shades in the buck's hair) would have made this stand out more |

I feel like i have seen too many wildlife shots. Never a whitetail though. |

Yup, probably the only shot of this fellow on dpc but imho it looks a little like a snapshot. |

Well that is different. I love the pink horns. They almost look fuzzy. The crop feels too tight. There is no space for where he is looking. |

This is a good sharp image. I'm not good at photographing wildlife, it's very difficult, but I think what separates this one, from the ones that are ribbon-winners is that this one seems to be caught in an awkward moment... like half step of movement.
Also, the background is cluttered and distrating. Getting the right balance of isolating the subject, yet still keepint it all sharp is very difficult, I'm sure.
This one used the background to set it off and the animal feels still and not awkward to me. Keep at it. Noone starts out getting perfect wildlife shots. (not voting) |

Interesting creature, definitely fits the challenge. However, the photo itself lacks impact. I might have increased the contrast a bit as a start. |

Maybe waiting for a different posing could be better,,, this animal seem sick (or sad) on this picture |
