Greetings from the Critique Club!
First, I generally try to play "guess the score" - I'd have put this at about a 5.6 or so. So I'm a bit befuddled by your score. I suspect it has to do with the flower at the top, but I'll get to why I kinda like that in a second.
Definitely meets the challenge; good focus, good depth of field, nice use of the natural light, and good detail, particularly the little hair thingies. The flower at the top, to me, shows what is to come, and I like it there. The OOF nature of that bloom, however, is probably not pleasing to many, and considered "distracting" by some. The overall composition is a little plain, but it does provide some intrigue as I think there's some detail of the plant's leaf in the bokeh....
Is this a close view of a geranium? (I've been trying to figure out what it is, and I really don't know flowers very well.)
