I know what you were going for here and it works! Good job.
BUT!!!!!!!!
My opinion is that you are showing or depicting players. You lost marks on that

This photo is probably going to be hurt by a lot of things. For starters, the vast majority of people don't consider this a team sport. Furthermore, there are a lot of legs in this picture, and a lot of people are going to constitute that was being with players, as opposed to without. Finally, the picture is very blurry in several areas. If you get a low score, don't be down on yourself - TONS of potential here, but just not right for this challenge

I cannot tell if this picture would be better if the action were completely stopped or blurred just a little more. A fine picture, but the blur here doesn't relay to me the motion properly, it just looks out of focus.

Very intriguing composition! Lots of great color- I like this one a lot even though it seems to be a bit fuzzy at points.

Great shot.. nice cropping. Could stand to be sharper, though

Unusual - but I really liket the slim Jim presentation. Exposure right on - loads of interest. I hope you had a tripod and took a really slow exposure as well.

I hope you don't get dinged for showing the legs and feet. This is a nice shot that meets the challenge well. The focus is a bit soft and the colors could be brighter, but I really like the angle and the composition. Good job!

Nice photo. I like the aspect ratio which works nicely with the subject matter. Very dynamic. Good levels. Contrast could be a bit sharper if you wanted the photo to pop a bit more. I bumped this down, however, from 4-5 because the players are in the photo and therefore doesn't meet challenge. (1)

Good shot, but you can see the players.

The players are there

Interesting crop on this picture. Colorful. I wish it were a little sharper though.

Love the bikes; a little blurry, but hard not to have that. The extreme crop and there being the "players" as one of the subjects in the shot lowered my score a bit.

Cool photo, but I see A LOT of players--Yes, you didn't include the TOPS of their bodies, but this IS still a photo of the players.

not really a team sport

Nice photo but seems a bit OOF. USM could help that I expect.

out of focus...could be motion blur

This looks really grainy and pixelated. I'm not sure if this is from the program you used to resize the image or if you're using a low megapixel camera. The concept is really cool though and the composition is beautiful.

I know you are not showing their faces, but I feel that the "players' are still in the photo. Perhaps just focusing a wheel or two when the bikes are put down would better portray the challenge. The colors are nice though.

No players?!

i see players...

I like this crop..very nice, colorful shot. I would only like it a bit more in focus or sharper.

Looks like there's players in this one - definitely pushing the gray area of the challenge theme. Other than that, I think a bit more shutter speed was needed to keep it sharp, or a slower shutter to make the motion a bit more pronounced. In its current form it feels a bit too blurry.

I can see the players.

Technically, I see the athletes (or at least their feet). It's a great idea. Very similar to something I was formulating in my head for the "Waiting" challenge.

Quite soft, nice panoramic style, but isn't this showing the players?
06/02/2004 01:44:45 AM
This is just awesome! It's one of my favorites in the challenge. I hope the voters don't give you a hard time because you can see legs (but not players). I like the panorama look of this. It creates an unbalanced feeling because I want to see the rest of the picture. That feeling is exactly where I find the artistic strength in this. I really like it!

Legs! Legs! Legs! I thought we are not supposed to photograph the players themselves?
