Lame title but I can't think of a better one at the moment.
This is pretty much what I went out to find, and this juvenile Green Heron was nice enough to do his fishing where I could get a shot of the moment I was waiting for. Not such a great thing for the fish, but ... well, this is life.
Cropped tight on top because I had no more crop room on the left and wanted to sort of balance the crop somehow. And I hate the muddy color in the water, and wish I could see a better catchlight in the bird's eye, but I'm stuck with them in Basic. Other than that the shot is OK ;-)
PP - converted from RAW, slight rotation, cropped, white balance, increased contrast, reduced noise, shifted greens greener and then desaturated on cyan, resized, sharpened, added border. |

| My first thought is that I see the hunter and the hunted in this,not the illustration of life and death in a single image. Beautiful colors though on the bird. |
