 This is one of the yellow roses in my birthday bouquet. I can't believe how big they got, each rose is 5 to 6 inches across!

Processed in Photomatix. Editing includes crop, burn out partial background areas, levels, USM, sharpen, hue/sat adjustments, selected levels, partial inverse black layer, Neat Image, border.

You have a way of taking the most ordinary and making it look extraordinary. Even the petals seem "unreal" and yet, real at the same time. It's as though the petals are made of ribbon or a fine velvet in places. Real dream-like quality to it!

I love this. I'm not sure if it's natural or just brilliant processing but I like the intense saturation in the center and the more subtle saturation around the edges. Lovely!

I have seen hundreds of flower photos, and normally I pass them over quite quickly. Your on the other hand demanded a longer look. I love the soft feel, and the high saturation in the centre, and low saturation toward the edges. Excellent photo of a well known subject.
