Hey there from the Critique Club
Camera Work/Technical: I like the crisp focus you achieved, but I'd like to see a bot more shallow depth of field. I'd like to see the flower isolated from the rest of the scene with focus.
Lighting: Great, natural lighting. Everything was nicely and evenly lit with no lost details in harsh highlights or deep shadows.
Composition/Content: The composition isn't bad, but it also doesn't jump out at grab my eye's attention. The leaves of the plant that were left on the focal plane adds distractions to the eye.
My Opinion: Its not a bad photograph at all. I think that the sub-5 scoring is a bit harsh, but flowers and voters are tough to figure out here.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide a critique on your entry,
Eric

For the record I didn't spray the flower. I was actually there taking a picture of a humming bird couldn't get it so I took a picture of the flowers. The water must have evaporated off the leaves first. I do have a question though... can you just take a spray bottle and spray a plant and it will cause this effect? |

Rose of SHaron! These are so beautiful! Nicely photographed. I like the water on the petals. |

Only the flower was sprayed with water? Leaves are 90% without water :P
Nice crisp shot with the buds also making a showing for a change... |
