What can I say I really brain farted on this one. When I saw DEEP I was think just the opposite. As most of you noted in your comments. |

Extremely shallow DOF- opposite of the challenge. |

Needs light on the subject to stand out from the background. |

I'm sorry, this is shallow depth of field. 3 |

This is shallow dof. You need to step up the aperture, for example f/8 (or higher), to get a deep dof. |

Nice photography. Everything should be in focus for this DOF challenge |

very out of focus, needs macro |

Really little that is actually in focus.
Depth of field shallow, not deep. |

These are lovely blossoms. We call this pineapple guava. We have three trees in our back yard. I am afraid though that there is not a lot of depth of field in this picture. |

Opps this is SHALLOW depth of field. LOL, this challenge is for deeeeep dof. Live and learn. Don't forget to use Levels to correct your colors. And Curves (or levels) to get more contrast. |

This seems to me to be a shallow DOF |

shallow dof does not meet the challenge |

This is using shallow depth of field--the background is blurred. Deep DOF is when everything is in focus to infinity. As a macro it is decent. The background could be blurred quite a bit more. Perhaps a vertical composition or a square crop would have suited the subject better? |

Macro shots are very difficult to obtain Deep depth of field. This would have benefitted from a smaller (higher numbered) Apature. Even some of the 'bulbs' in the floweres indicate how shallow the depth of field really is. |

Nice photograph, but I have a few thoughts:
The lightly colored flowers would stand out more against a dark background, probably leaves in this situation. The highlights to the left of the flowers actually pull the viewer attention away.
I think this is an example of shallow depth of field becaue the leaves are clearly out of focus. |

focus seems to be problematic |

dof is pretty shallow here and the flowers seem a bit oof. I do love this for the nice colors. |

The picture is rather flat and I notice movement in the flower. Also this is a fine example of shallow DOF not deep so I have to vote you down. |

Nice macro, but to be truthful, I don;t see this as deep DOF at all. |
