Excellent depth of field - however, there is so much noise in the picture that is really detracts from the image.

Great idea, and although the background isn't completely in focus the DOF is deep enough to give a nice impressionistic effect. The thumbnail is too distracting.

Believe if or not.... this is the first entry that I believe really meets the challenge! I have not voted on all of them yet, but this is the best so far. 9

Nice shot of a coin shot in front of an image/monitor. Too bad about the graininess of the thumb and the blown out thumbnail.

It's a shame you've oversharpened + shad/hilighted this because it's actually very good DOF indeed. Beyond the challenge this a very weird shot though!

I have no idea how you could get something so close, and so far away in focus -- unless this is a photo of the coin laying on a photo that was taken earlier. Nice job -- you've captured the essence of the challenge nicely.

Very clever, but I don't actually like tthe shot. sure it meets the challenge in an extraordinary manner, and I'm intrigued to know exactly how it was done (no surprise to see the validation remark on it) ... but it has a madly over-processed look, detailing is blurred although focus seems good, which is odd. I think perhaps the tone of your background image has thrown the camera's white balance a bit. 5

LOL, what happenned to the background??! Looks EXTREMELY minipulated and/or over sharpened. :( The coin looks pretty good however.

I can't tell if you are holding this coin up to an actual landscape or if the landscape is a photo in the background. Either way, the fingers, particularly the glaring white thumbnail makes this a very unpleasant shot for me. Sorry.

ha, funny. is that a painting in the background? anyway, very clever shot. I wonder if you'll get DQ requests, it very much looks like two photos combined in PS.

Really good idea for this challenge. The BG is a bit over-sharpened, but it's still a nice photo. Good job!

Is this for real? Or a picture of a picture? If not, pretty clever.
