This would be great if it were more in focus. |

Pretty fuzzy and out of focus, though I admit it reflects the quality of my vision before I get that first cup into my blood system. 7 Jacko |

I'm not fond of the yellow shadows and I wish a bit larger area was in focus. I like the composition a lot though. |

Looks like it's way zoomed, more than its a macro. I'm curious to know if it was done this way out of focus on purpose. I'm just going to assume that it is and assume that you had a dozen cups or so before you shot this, tripodless of course :) Good luck - Inspzil |

This would work well if the focus on the main coffee bean was sharper |

There's a wicked sense of motion about this shot! For some reason, the right side of this photo makes my eyes feel queesy. I don't know how you achieved this, but I like it. 9 Swash |

Don't know what to say about this, but it simply does not look good. Is it focus, the strange colors? No wait. This shot is ruined by horrible jpeg compression, the blocks are all over the plce, ruining the sharpness, the crispness, the colors, the detail etc etc. I don't know if this was a pretty balanced shot to begin with, but the shot is 35kb in size, where 150k is allowed. This looks like sh*t. |

The brightness of the whites is just a bit harsh. It intrudes in on your subject in the bottom right of the bean. The blurryness on the right is puzzling to me as well. I could pass it off as DOF, but it also looks to have a motion blurr look to it. I don't think that appeals to me much. your angle on the bean is good, and framing/cropping seem fine to me as well. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~ |
