Good scene. Has potential, but there are a lot of haloes and the look is unnatural. I'd recommend searching for different pathways to the end image. Or, capture other images for blending which produce better outcomes.

Looks like the tone mapping is pushed a little too much - personal taste possibly.

Hi Tammy. I saved this one for last, because I was skipping the vote, but I wanted to do a 100% comment. So, here goes. I think the processing here was overdone quite a bit. It looks like it was just cranked up with Topaz. (Please see my Flickr stream for some experiments of mine that did not work) I also know this is probably your first effort with HDR techniques. I would love to see the out of the camera shot, maybe even the RAW, and perhaps see what else we can do with it. If you are still talking to me after this comment.

Ehhh...the dodge and burn on the vines in the front is way to obvious, try a more subtle approach?

I'm not a fan of this white glow on the tree and i think it's a little overprocessed. I really like the details and colors though. The sky is nice too.

Too much HDR for a kinda standard subject. Anyone could take this with a little point-and-shoot then edit it with an HDR program...

I shall be rating this challenge by the following criteria:

1 - Not HDR in my opinion

3 - HDR is way over-done, in my opinion

5 - A reasonable use of HDR, but not a very engaging photo, in my opinion

7 - A reasonable use of HDR, and an engaging photo, in my opinion

10 - A fantastic use of HDR, and an out of this world photo, in my opinion

Nice view; it looks oversharpened, though.

The overprocessing of this doesn't help it. Looks like a nice scene if you toned it down about 50%
