Really surprised at the score - I really like this shot. If I had to guess this was a victim of fast voting - the ninth guy (the ear) was one of the things I particularly liked.

Ah Deb, after your PM I see it now. Weird, I looked and looked. I love the shot. What I found most interesting is that everyone is looking in a different direction - even up. Nice image, well done! |

Graphic design elements all over the place to make this more than a random snap shot; I can see why you like it. First we have a strong diagonal of three guys from right lower corner, with the line picked up further along by the gal near the door. The third guy of that group stands in a paver pattern that works like ripples in a pond, helpin the eye move through unexpected parts of the image. The gal faces toward the bag-holding person, creating an implied triangle. Lines of windows, doors, sidewalk provide a geometric background to contrast with the people. Photographer with tiny camera tosses in a bit of hook for the imagination. As noted by others, the white-shirt-ear person is difficult to see (but easier if image enlarged to 400% - maybe print huge and hang in a cafe), and the fragment of guy with glasses can be mistakenly seen as going with the other fragment guy's white shirt, making him appear giant sized. |

sigh... just more proof that people fly through voting like it's a race. i thought this was a great entry and i really think it should have done way better. |

Cool, it climbed for you Deb! :-) Glad I hadn't left you too harsh a comment, I did count the ear and make 9 (eventually) :-) |

I had a sneaky feeling this was yours Deb. I almost commented. It's got a Deb look to it. Under rated of course. |

rofl @ you being glued to the update button.
Look, you screwed up Deb, there's a tenth person in the reflection of the window. No wonder you had everyone scratching their heads... pffft ;) |

there's something about this image I really like, it's like everyone is off doing their own thing, heading in their own direction, from the guy in the back looking @ his camera to the guy whose barely seen in the upper right hand corner, great candid |

For me, the composition is a little too busy and I am struggling to see how this image is connected to 9? |

I really like how you see different parts of all the people. This picture does a nice job of helping me feel like I'm there and that this is a busy street with lots of activity. I keep coming back and looking at this one. |

Why does the guy on the right side of the photo look so much larger than the guy in front of him? Something seems a bit off. |

While a good foundation for a street photography entry, I am missing the relation to the Nine challenge. I do like your contrast and tonal range, but this one misses the boat to me. 3. |
