 I really want to enter a pic of my daughter but i keep entering her pic so I figured I would change it up. I rarely see preying mantis' so I was stoked to come along this guy eating a moth that I had just taken a pic of moments earlier. This was not the only mantis that I saw chowing down but this was one of the better shot I felt. I'm hoping to get back into the 6's with this shot since i've been on a drought but who knows.

Although a shallow depth of field is needed to bring the subject out from the surroundings, I think your depth of field is a little too shallow here, due to the areas on the captured prey that are out of focus, which distravys from the overall effect
