I think deeper DOF would help. Good try on yellow flowers. They are so difficult to photograph and most of the time they are washed out. The colour here is reach and warm. Very nice. |

I always love insect photos. Having said that, I don't really see him as a hidden treasure. The contrast of the black on the yellow doesn't make it seem very "hidden" to me. It seems that you nailed the focus right on the right part of the bee, though. I'm sure I would have voted this higher on another challenge. |

Bugs are. This ones quite cute in a way, except extremely OOF (except for his eyes) and the flowers are also mostly OOF. I know how hard it is to shoot moving macro subjects, and the shallow DOF in most Macros makes it even harder, with a slower SS to try and get some DOF, and thus frustrating. I've shot oodles of mini critters and not one photo has been technically good allround. 6. |
