the depth of field makes it difficult to discern what it is.. but i guess it's the inside of a piano rite? |

:( I really like the guitar pics in this challenge, and this one would be no exception, but for the focus... Has alot of potential though. |

It looks harder to focus this picture like this, than it would be to give a little more DOF to the strings. Its strangely focused for about 1" of the strings. Neat trick but not so sure I like it. Is this a left handed bass? Good luck - Inspzil |

Almost thought the DOF was to tight, then looking closer it's more 'artsy' with the tighter DOF. The strings blending into the background is a nice affect. |

Nice shot. A little bit more depth of field would have helped IMO, with a few more frets and a bit more detail on the strings. Jacko. |

I don't know what that is...? Not important really, and fun to guess. It's a good macro, congrats. Justine |

love the shallow field - grey background is dissapointing |

Nice example of DOF, but not very interesting |

Not much DOF here. It's almost paper thin. The tiny speck that is in focus on the strings though is nice. We almost totally lose the guitar in the upper right. As an abstract, I think it would work nicely. I would like to see more in focus though. The angle and framing/cropping are very nice, and lighting appears to be good as well. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~ |

I had a similar concept but I didn't have adequate lighting. I would have gone with a different anglethough, but I still like yours very much |
