Feel free to cringe. Shaka really did pop off a button while I was trying to get a shot. This is what's known as pushing one's luck too far! It's not like I don't know she's obsessed with popping off plastic buttons, as I am currently missing 4 keycaps on my brand new laptop. Me and my bright ideas ::sighs::
And I do not want to hear any comments about how she's interacting with the camera and not me! Breaking the camera was a collaborative effort. She had proved a serviceable attention-getting-assistant for the dogs on other photographic projects, so the idea was to photograph her assisting me ... well, that was MY idea; she apparently had other plans.
Hoping this will provide entertainment to the voters despite technical things I can't fix in Basic (and I wasn't about to re-shoot and risk more damage to the camera!!).
It will be hard for me to switch from RAW to JPG and vice versa till I figure out how to fix that button :-(
PP - cropped, flipped/straightened, levels, duotone, resized, sharpened with slight noise reduction.

11/7 - Fixed the camera (a dab of poster putty) and the keyboard (sticky foam squares made for scrapbook projects). Yay! Rather surprised this is doing as well as it is (just over 6.2 now). But happy my camera button sacrifice was not in vain ;-) |

LOL! I thought I recognized that bird. Not good about the button, but good you fixed it! |

I elected to use a rating table to decide on what value to assign during voting.
Here̢۪s the table:
1 No Animal/People Interaction
2 Slightly Appealing, but no Animal/People Interaction
3 Moderately Appealing, but on Animal/People Interaction
4 Greatly Appealing, but no Animal/People interaction
5 Not Appealing, but possessing Animal/People Interaction
6 Slightly Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
7 Moderately Appealing and possessing Animal/People Interaction
8 Greatly Appealing and possessing Animal People Interaction
9 Better than #8, and caused an audible sigh
10 Better than #9, and would likely declare it a favorite |

This is much too dark but I love the interaction between the photographer and the bird of course. The composition is good, too. :) |

Really nice shot. I like the black and white and I like how the parrot (is that an African Grey?) is adjusting some of the camera settings...very cute! |
