From my front door 35 steps N, 6 steps W, 6 steps SSE and I was jammed into this Diosma bush and surrounded by a cloud of native bees (non-stingers) which hover and flit about very fast, alighting on flowers only briefly before taking off again. This one stayed still long enough to be photographed.
Crop, duplicate layer, brightness/contrast, hue/saturation, variations - more cyan, blend mode lighten, reduce noise, flatten, image size, usm, border, stw.

They may not be stinging bees but I wouldn't want to anger one of them. Love the shallow depth of field.

You are a brave soul to get close to a bee, so you deserve one extra point just for that. lol Pretty flowers. Your composition is well executed. I like the way my eye is first on the flowers but then follows those flowers right down to the bee. Good work.
