K10DGuy,
Thankyou for your great comment and you are spot on about the spontaneity of the shot. I had taken my kids to ride their scooters at the local jetty and I saw this family walking towards me from out on the pier so I lay down and the as they walked past the dog came over to me for a snif and a lick. I think he was only a handful of inches from the camera when this picture was taken. The family were all laughing and having fun but as they didn't stop walking there were no second chances. I increased the saturation for printing but when I look at it on the screen now its a bit overdone. I still like the feel good nature of the picture.
Thanks again for your comments.

Hello, your shot has been chosen for my Daily 5! This is where I choose 5 shots per day (or close enough) from the Recently Uploaded list that do not yet have comments, and comment on them.
Such a fun, amusing, and spontaneous moment. The wide-angle feel and the sharpness where it needs to be just pops this shot out and says, "look at me!". So look I did, and I was not disappointed. This is a dog that, despite the restraint of the leash, looks as though he believes that the world is his. |
