I took this photo of The Frankie Moreno Band at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is hard shooting in low light conditions, and I prefer the B/W look when shooting bands in those conditions.

Post challenge comments from my phone.
I heard the term shoehorn a few times in the comments. I would have to agree, it was a shoehorn, but I looked at this challenge differently. I would have not entered this challenge if he didn't have cash in the cup on top of the piano.
I am a tradesman, a union tradesman, so when it comes to tools of the trade, I fully understand! But, I do not care who you are or what Ÿou do, Ãou have a trade if you have a job and earn money. This guy would have not been playing the piano in a lounge if there was no one there. He was playing for them, and the crowd made him better.
One comment by a newby who deleted their account before the challenge was complete. It is just that, a challenge, not a contest.

I just did a concert shoot 2 weekends ago. Despite my Sigma f/2.8 working flawlessly I am still getting to grips with High ISO and low DOF. This shot, despite the brave "shoehorn" on your part, was a great effort and the BW does help. Keep them coming!

Can't believe this didn't score much higher. This is a great image... under appreciated. Composition is perfect, and I love the fact that you took the challenge differently from most. Breathe of fresh air when I was voting... very welcomed, I assure you. A MUAIMHO for your efforts. Keep up the good work.

Nice shot, I like how the lighting really isolates the subject, bit of a shoehorn though :-)

Not fitting with contest criteria being 'tools' - not 'girls night out'. Even if you are a tool... you arent literally so doesnt apply.

Hmmm, a bit of a shoehorn but I'm not marking it down. It has merit for the challenge in a wierd way. Expressions and actions are great as is the exposure.

It would be more obvious if you actually showed the piano keys, this way is a bit of a puzzle.

I'm not quite sure what this man has done... but he clearly has a 'way' with the ladies!

A good shot, sharp focus on the main subject and the addition of motion from clapping hands lead to a very well composed photo.
